Night Walk of the Monuments

This Friday, my friend and I went on a night walk of the monuments! I had been wanting to do this for so long, but just hadn't gotten around to it. The weather was perfect, so we went out to explore!

I was nervous at first because I didn't know if two girls walking alone around the mall at night would be safe, but I shouldn't have worried. So many people were out doing the same thing as us! Around the Capitol there weren't a lot of people, but at the WWII Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial, the crowds were surprisingly big.

First, we started off at the Capitol.

 Then the Washington Monument:

Then the WWII Memorial. The fountain looked amazing at night!

Everything is lit up so beautifully :)

The stars representing those who died in the war:

The Lincoln Memorial. Look how many people are on the steps!

Hello Abe!

And after that we made our way to the apartments- that was quite a long walk! My legs were really tired by the time I got back, but it was a wonderful night anyways!

What is your favorite place to see lit up at night? I think cities are beautiful at night!

    1. I love Fort Worth at night too! The best is around Christmas time when the tree is set up.

  2. Wow, it really is beautiful at night. Glad you both went and had a good time, and even better that you felt safe. You have also seen it at night, but Las Vegas is especially interesting and beautiful in the evenings.
