Who says the sky is the limit?

Second day of summer was a success- woke up early again, thanks to my wonderful dogs. But it's ok because Day 2 of P90X is also complete!


I'm excited because company starts arriving today for my brother's wedding in a few days. There is so much to get done, especially because I am a bridesmaid too. 


Oh, and I applied for jobs today too! I'll have a longer post later :)

Hello Summer!

Well y'all should expect nothing less from me- I woke up before 5:30 on my first day of summer. The sun was just rising and it was actually cold out here in the lovely Tucson, Arizona. But you better believe I didn't waste my time!

Begin Day 1 P90X



Today was the Chest and Back DVD, which I woke up early to do. Unfortunately, I couldn't find weights, so I used various heavy things from the kitchen, like cans and boxes of food haha. Thinking on the spot. I also did an ab workout after! Yay for getting an early work out in!






Then I made Banana Bread and Banana Bread Bundt Cakes based off of this recipe. I also used a peanut butter frosting on top of the bundt cakes. Thanks Katie! And happy mother's day to my wonderful mother :)


Last but not least, I went to Sunday Soccer with a bunch of people from our neighborhood. There was a small group of us today, so it was nice to have a small game with more passing and running. I scored a bunch of goals- I'd say it was a successful morning. Off to make lunch with my Dad and work on my to-do list.

Today is the last Monday of school and I have my first final in T-1.5 hours, but I feel prepared for it. We have to pitch story ideas to my professor and she is going to pick the best one. Unfortunately, I have to think of story ideas based on sports that relate to TCU, which is difficult since basically all sports are done for the school year. No worries though! I did my research during my midnight to 3 a.m. shift last night at the desk and I think I have a couple of awesome ideas. Watch out class, I'm ready for this final. 


So basically, for the rest of the day I will be packing and writing my essay due on Friday. I already have 3 pages done for my 10 page essay- I think I'm on track right now. I've also been taking down stuff from my walls. 

Sorry, it's sideways. I don't know how to fix that on here, but I'll figure it out later and edit it! But look! Empty walls! I took down my posters of the TCU football and tennis teams :( No cute boys to look at on my wall now. Sad day. I also took down my cork board and a bunch of pictures. I'm trying to do a little bit of packing each day so that I'm not bogged down on Thursday.

And I am a super packer!

This is one bag of clothes- but it's not compressed yet. Last year, I discovered that space bags are my lifesaver! Without them, I would not be able to fit all of my clothes in my car. Over half of my clothes are in here. 

Now my closet is pretty empty! It may not look like it, but you should have seen it before (why didn't I take before and afters?!)

I can't believe that my mom will be here on Wednesday and we'll be leaving Friday morning- and then I won't be back at TCU until JANUARY! I haven't been away from TCU for that long since I started college. So it's bittersweet; I'm happy to be going home since so many great things will be happening when I get home, but I'm sad because I won't see my TCU friends for a long time. 

Well here's to enjoying the rest of my last Sunday here for a while. Hope y'all are having a great weekend too! :)

I think this quote is so cute- it's serious, but adorable and funny at the same time. I love pink, but I'll always be loyal to purple also :) And laughing is a calorie burner! Do your abs ever hurt after spending all day laughing with friends?

Those are the silly little things that I agree with, but I do think that the happy girls are the prettiest. Anyone who is happy always seems to be smiling, laughing, and radiating happiness- which can make anyone look instantly more beautiful. Tomorrow is always there to try new things and miracles do happen, you just have to look closely.

Sometimes I think that quotes make us realize things that we've never thought about before. Reading things that other insightful people have said opens up our minds to new ideas and possibilities. Thus, the reason why I am always filling your minds with new quotes that I find! You're welcome :)

I've been focused on making it through the end of the semester that I just haven't been blogging- and I have another confession too. I got a Pinterest, sorry for cheating on you Blogger. Pinterest is so interesting and there are constantly things to look at. Maybe I can link my blogger and Pinterest to make sure that I keep blogging.

Only 8 more days here though and then I'll be home. I will continue blogging this summer and my goal is to keep blogging before I leave too.

Plus, tonight it semi-formal and I'm bringing my camera- pictures to come! Hope all of this makes up for my long absence.
